Kaspar König entwickelt aus einer Fensterglasscheibe ein Instrument,
welches seinerseits Teile des Raumes als Instrument verwendet.
Die Töne, die mit einem Bogen und herkömmlichen Cello-Saiten
entstehen, klingen ganz anders als gewohnt: sie kommen aus dem
Glas, das sowohl nach innen als nach aussen resoniert.

The Luminale in Frankfurt is unfortunately over however it was a full succes. If I see the pictures with people waiting up to 2 hours to see what is in, i feel gratitute. The installation is designed by the FH Mainz (interior Design Master) and the HfM Mainz (Music) where I’m graduating for a master in Soundart and Composition. The Objects in the boat sound all differently. Accompanied by a drone composition the installation is experiencable as a hugh string instrument that lights up and reflects the intensity of your impuls towards the strings. Die Luminale ist vorbei. In der Nacht der Museen in Frankfurt am Main am 21.4. sind die letzte Zuschauer von dem Cassian Carl herunter gekommen. Wir aber sind noch immer gut drauf und schauen wie wir die öffentlichkeit noch weiter mit dem Projekt begeistern können. Sowohl die Luminale als auch die Nacht der Museen hat uns viel Aufmerksamkeit gebracht.

Paradiso invited Quartier Mustache for this fantastic night in the Artis Aquarium, in between the fishes we will give the movie a whole new sound. Not only are the DJ’s from Quartier Mustache on the spot, also alessandro mezzogori and me are going to let the movie live in another era! If you find time to see this, i’m sure you will have a night full of fantasy and maybe you become a little baron afterwards.

Fully full. The Aquarium was sold out and we were very happy to show this movie with our new soundtrack.

Time for another waiting in the wings. The third WITW was @ Waldengallery and was the first one after the ARM (artspace rondeel maastricht) abroad. Maja defenitely exported this performancepark very succesfully to the Gallery Walden in Berlin. Hope we do it again before 2013.

This is the first ARM concert as in Art Research Music. The concert/composition was based on the influence of noise and its singularity in form of a drop. Colours became sound in the openingsconcert of the SPEKTRALE. Have a look/listen at the Rheingoldhalle Mainz. A very special exhibition full of scientific experiments and ART on the edge of science. I’m very proud to be able to be part of this concert. Not only is Alvin Curran a star that i’ve been luckily enough to get to know a little better, also Christina Kubisch is playing in this concert! elektronischen Klängen und ungewohnten Klangerzeugern

In dem Konzert wird ein Bogen gespannt von Alvin Currans frühen elektronischen Werken zu den aktuellsten Formen der ineinander verschmelzenden Medien.
Christina Kubisch gehört weltweit zu den bedeutensten KlangkünstlerInnen mit Großprojekten wie der mehrjährigen Bespielung des Gasometers in Oberhausen. Mit Curran verbindet Sie eine langjährige Freundschaft aus ihrer Zeit in Italien. Für Mainz wird Sie einen „electrical walk“ präsentieren, bei dem sie die für uns unsichtbaren elektromagnetischen Felder hörbar macht und zu einem faszinierenden Klanggewebe verknüpft.
Kaspar König gehört zu der jüngeren Generation der Klangkünstler, die sich durch einen kreativ-spielerischen Umgang mit elektronischen Geräten auszeichnen. König verwandelt Alltagsgegenstände in Instrumente und „verbiegt“ im „Circuit Bending“ elektrische Geräte und entlockt diesen dadurch bisher ungehörte Klänge.
In der zweiten Konzerthälfte präsentiert Alvin Curran – nach Aufführungen in Palermo und Rom – gemeinsam mit dem sizilianischen Medienkünstler Domenico Sciajno die deutsche Erstaufführung eine intermediale Performance, in der die Musik live in Echtzeit in Bilder und visuelle Projektionen umgewandelt werden.
Eine einmalige und in Mainz noch nie gesehene Veranstaltung.

Der klangvolle Titel der zweitägigen Kunstchilbi im Chäslager hat seinen Ursprung im Berlin der 1870er Jahre; Wer als Künstler nicht etabliert war und durch die Provinz ‘tingelte’, wurde abschätzig in die Schublade der wandernen Kleinkunst – des Tingel Tangels – geworfen. Im danach benannten Festival steht der Begriff für die unterschiedlich betitelten Amusement Kreise der Unterhaltungskultur des späten 19. Jahrhunderts. Das Festival vereint populäre- und bildende Kunst in einer spartenüberbordenden Zusammenstellung verschiedenster künstlerischer Positionen. Das straffe Bühnenprogramm wird nebst längeren Produktionen in kurze Showblöcke gegliedert, in welchen bizarre Darbietungen skurrilster Art zu sehen sind; Exotisch, akrobatisch, grotesk: Für jeden ist etwas dabei! Hereinspaziert und Manege frei!

finally after installing a lot of cables speakers and sound-technology, we’ve been able to set the Soundinstallation up. The project from Prof. Kiefer and the HfM in Mainz is already a succes before the start. Opening is this friday, but the installation will be in progress until 15 th of october. Also Florian Dombois installed his hornitos (small erruptive vulcanic ovens) that sound like a burst is not far away. Alvin Curran and Tilman Küntzel will also participate. My work consists a kite that is hanging in the Tree like if it is left behind by a child that was playing. Now it hangs there waiting for the winds to play the strings. See more info here:

Het spektakel begint om 15u in het Brandweer Capucijnenstraat 21, 6211 RN Maastricht «On the Wing» is een tentoonstelling gebaseerd op «Waiting in the Wings» 2009.Het is een poging om een vergankelijke kunstvorm in een duurzame stoffelijke vorm over te dragen. De tentoonstelling is dan ook niet als een documentatie van het performance-festival bedoeld, maar als een autonoom «kunst-stuk», een installatie met een begin en een eind. De relicten van de performances creëren samen met video- en sound-documenten nieuwe verhalen, en vergroeien op deze manier tot een inloopinstallatie. De bezoekers zijn fysiek betrokken en verbonden met het decor. On the Wing is een toneelachtige, toegankelijke tentoonstelling met een veranderlijke, wandelende inborst. For a week they gained their creativity together to create a lively no-stage festival that lasted for three days. Quiet a big effort for such a short time of performing. For this reason we conceived «on the wing» exhibition. An exhibition formed out of the props, sets and documentations of the «waiting in the wings» festival. The absence of the performers has practical reasons – it means to be independent of 30 artists time and work schedules and transportation-money. None the less it is also led by the interest in the experiment – to transform live-art into a static form without losing its theatrical magic. For each object for each document is written a scene, that is explaining their story and origin to the spectators, or is inventing a new situation. As in the festival, visitors will move through a live-Installation and are physically involved and connected to the scenery.

Also we (Tim Prins and I) introduced the CULTUURSNACK automaat with precious samples of the remains of the roman road and village 150-300 after B.C. which we packed in the form of a tipical SNACK (mars, twix, snickers)

Berliner Hauptbahnhof, 29. August 2010 – 16 Uhr und 18 Uhr

JudoOper (UA) – Sportliches Musiktheater mit Marc Lingk (Musikalische Leitung), Kaspar König (Live-Elektronik), Miyoko Urayama (Choreografie), Theo Nabicht (Kontrabassklarinette), Alexandre Babel (Schlagzeug) und Judokas des Sportvereins Gutsmuths e. V. Judo in all seinen Erscheinungsformen: als Vorführkunst, als Kampf, als Stand- und Bewegungsbild bildet den Ausgangspunkt für die JudoOper nach einer Idee des Komponisten und Judokas Mark Lingk. Vier Judokämpfer, die mit versteckten Funkmikrophonen ausgestattet sind, agieren auf einer Judomatte, die ebenfalls mit Tonabnehmern präpariert ist. Zwei Live-Musiker und eine japanische Schiedsrichterin begleiten und führen das Geschehen. Am Ende der Elektronikkette generieren zwei Klangkünstler einen Klang des Kampfes. Bewegung erzeugt die Musik.

Onderweg naar het Avantgarde Festival in het Duitse Schiphorst pakt het Belgisch/Frans/Nederlandse duo “A Table!” hun elektrieke Spoerri keukentafel even uit voor (h)ear in Heerlen, en neemt eraan plaats voor een onvervalst stukje absurdistisch muziektheater, ongrijpbaar en onevenaarbaar daar waar het telt, tussen kunst en kitsch. Kaspar König is een laboratorium kunstenaar die de luisteraar meestal in een vers experiment meeneemt en een zo ongekend geluidsgebied verovert. Dit keer neemt hij enkele zelfgebouwde en gehackte instrumenten mee om een show te maken. Zijn bekendste werken zijn: ‘De Gitaarfiets’, ‘My room is my instrument’ en ‘De Audioshaver’.

Perform: a harsh noise set
Vulvax (Lorna Buckley) & S.N.O.T is een junk electronica formatie van 2 personen, opgericht in 2007. Zij vonden hun basis in de kraakscene en DIY tape scene. Met brute kracht in hun hart, een ranzig vervormde beat in hun ziel en een startsleutel in hun handen brengen ze een onvervalste en recht toe recht aan mix van trash-noise en shit-core. Los van conventies en modegrillen zijn ze geslaagd in het creeëren van een eigen identiteit. Zie het als ‘the missing link’ tussen Slayer, Kool & the Gang, een stoned Armand en Abba.

operare 10 „Partner gesucht“ durch Wettbewerbsjury ermittelt

operare ist ein offener Marktplatz der Vernetzung mit dem Schwerpunkt Neue Musik. Innerhalb eines Workshops begegnen sich Autoren, Komponisten, Regisseure, Produzenten u. a. zum Ideenaustausch. Viele kommen dabei zum ersten Mal bewusst in näheren Kontakt mit Neuer Musik. Angeregt durch die gegenseitige Neugier und durch Referate entstehen Gespräche zu zweit oder in kleineren Gruppen, aus denen sich allmählich konkrete Projekte entwickeln.

Die Ausgangssituation für GRID bildet das Großstadtleben im 21. Jahrhundert. Inmitten der dicht besiedelten Megalopolis herrscht ein Gefühl von Fremdheit. Abhilfe verspricht die Flucht in den virtuellen Raum. Doch was geschieht, wenn wir technisch perfekt kreierte virtuelle Welten als Realität erleben und der reale Raum dagegen verblasst? Wenn wir unsere Umwelt selber gestalten können und technisch das auszublenden im Stande sind, was uns missfällt? Erzählt wird die Geschichte dreier Menschen, die auf unterschiedliche Weise mit ihrer Lebenssituation in der Großstadt und den Sirenengesängen virtueller Welten umgehen. GRID ist der Versuch, die Frage nach der „condition humaine“ in einer sich technologisch rapide wandelnden Umgebung mit den Mitteln des Musiktheaters und unter Einbindung neuester Technologien auf die Bühne zu bringen.

Die Berliner Galerie zeigt zum dritten Mal in einer Gruppenausstellung > Nichts Außer Zeichnungen < .
Im Rondeel, eigentlich Ort für Klangexperimente, Workshops und Performances, wird eine Auswahl
von Arbeiten mit Walden assoziierter Künstler in die vorgegebene Situation eingebracht.
Die Zeichnungen müssen sich inmitten von Fotowänden, Musikinstrumenten und unterschiedlichsten Rauminstallationen behaupten.

Een groep van 17 figuren, idac(h)a’s stelt een verloren gewaande beschaving voor. Ze bezitten zowel letterlijk als figuurlijk de aarde, doordat ze bestaan uit een mengeling van polyester en zand. Hierdoor symboliseren ze de zwaarte van het bestaan. Het gebied van de figuren ligt hoger dan de wereld van het publiek. Zo ontstaat er een afgebakende ruimte.

Das Nora Volkova Ensemble, 2006 von Markus Wenninger gegründet, benannte sich nach der russischen Filmkünstlerin, welche als Kind ein Bombenattentat überlebte; ein T-förmiges Stück einer Antipersonenmine namens M18A1 “Claymore” steckt seitdem inoperabel in ihrem Cortex. N.Volkova lebt sehr zurückgezogen an unbekanntem Ort wahrscheinlich Russlands, wo sie mit Hilfe ihrer Schwester & des Internets ihr sehr eigenwilliges Oeuvre einer weltweiten Anhängerschaft zugänglich macht, Filmstill für Filmstill; Julio Cortázar ist einer der äußerst raren Berichte zu Volkova zu verdanken, unter dem Titel “Queremos tanto a Glenda”, 1980, die bislang umfangreichste Untersuchung steuerte William Gibson bei, in “Pattern Recognition”, 2003.
Das Ensemble setzt sich in wechselnden Besetzungen außergewöhnliche Aufführungen zum Ziel, & Musik jenseits der ausgetretenen Pfade von Komposition & Improvisation: Musiken zu Hörspiel & Film, Kompositionen zusammen mit elektroakustischen Instrumentierungen, experimentelle theatralische Werke, interdisziplinäre Arbeiten aus Literatur & bildender Kunst, insbesondere Aufführungen alternativer Notationen.

Idea:
Suppose the inside of a room is the resonance body of
an instrument…. How would the instrument have to look like to sound good?
An installation to interactively search the sound of the room.
(with and without participation of the audience)

Howto:
a little check on the materials in the room.
(is there a window? is there a door? is there wood in the room?
is there another system like airco inside? etc.)
then a check of attachmechanisms in the room.
where can i tension to points without hurting resonancy?
and then attach & tension the strings (nylon/metall etc.) to
all the attachable points and insert classical ridges to tune and
emphasize. If necessary, amplify also with piezos and pickupcoils.
Also Simon will install 4 boxes with feedback coils. They will be hung from the
sealing and will swing around.

test & changes:
Throughout the exhibition the workout will contain changes of
extra resonance boxes and other things possibly tensioned to the wall by the
placed strings.

in the installation:
audience is able to touch and play the strings on walls/ floors/ windows etc.
in the vernisage or finisage the room will be played with a composition made
by the maker at that moment.

technology:
>nylon, endless guitar-strings, and more strings of any kind.
>nobs, ridges, tensioners from the instruments like violin, guitar, bass.
> plugs and screws to make attachmentpoint. (drill machine)
> piezo, pickup, 8 track mixer (or more) and 3 small PAs. (this can be home use old amplifier systems from 2nd hand shop)

Eine BADABUM Produktion 2008

Vom 11. bis zum 16. August findet wieder die >KOMBINAT 08< Woche in der Chollerhalle statt.

Zusammen mit, Maya Gehrig, Nora de Bahn, Michelle Ettlin, Simon Berz, Kaspar König Oliver Dolder, Andrew Phillips, Simone Schorro und ca. 12 Jugendlichen wollen wir uns diese Jahr mit Automaten auseinandersetzten.

Automaten sind Maschinen, welche oft spucken oder zu viel oder gar kein Rückgeld geben. Aber auch der Mensch legt sich selber Automatismen zu. Auf der Suche nach seinen eigenen Automatismen entwickelt und baut jeder Teilnehmer auch gleichzeitig seinen Automaten. So versuchen wir das scheinbar menschliche im der Maschine zu suchen und suchen gleichzeitig den “Automaten” in uns selber.
Wir entwickeln im Verlauf der Woche mit diesen Einzelteilen eine Gesamtchoreographie.

ein Sound-Cabaret

Kaspar König (ARTSPACE RONDEEL, Maastricht) und Simon Berz (BADABUM, Zürich) geben während 10 Tagen Einblick in ihren Arbeitsprozess. Im Zentrum ihrer Forschung steht dabei die Entdeckung neuer Klänge, die aus Alltagsgegenständen und Spielzeug gewonnen werden. Die Gegenstände, welche die Künstler untersuchen, stehen immer in einem sozialen und geographischen Kontext. In diesem Sinne benutzen Kaspar König und Simon Berz diese Objekte, um eine Klangarchäologie zu betreiben.
Es entstehen Klanglandschaften, welche beim Zuschauer Assoziationen hervorrufen und eine auditive Perspektive auf die gegenständliche Welt eröffnen.
Der Arbeitsprozess, den Kaspar König und Simon Berz den BesucherInnen im Cabaret Voltaire zugänglich machen, ist sammeln, konzipieren, realisieren, Übungsphase und Konzert in einem. Im Cabaret Voltaire werden die beiden Künstler die Möglichkeit ergreifen, ihre Arbeit als Sound-CABARET zu manifestieren. Sie schaffen Konzertsituationen, in welche Gäste und Publikum miteinbezogen werden können. So wird das Sound-CABARET zu einem Ort der Begegnung und nimmt damit Bezug auf die einstigen Gründer des Cabaret Voltaires.

Their aim to concept, construct, practice and concert everyday a new instrument is based on their joy with the circuits and the musicality within and beyond them. The audience is invited to bring their mal-functioning electro-waste to the gallery and bend the circuits themselves.

Im zentrum unsere offene Forschung stehen die Entdeckungen von neue Klänge.
Wir bauen jeden tag neue instrumenten oder erweitern bestehende Instrumenten.
Mit allem kann man Musik machen aber wie wird Musik daraus?
Welches Rezept brauchen wir für den heutigen Tag? Die Erfahrung und die errungenen Prinzipien während unsere gemeinsamen Arbeiten werden eingesetzt und pädagogisch an besuchern weiter vermittelt. Jeden Tag den Raum anders benutzen um ein unerhoertes zeitlich begrenztes LABOR zu seinem Limit auszunutzen. Besucher mit diese Ergebnisse überraschen und gleichzeitig mit einbinden in alle stadien des Prozesses (Konzeption, Bauprozess, Übungsphase und Konzert).

Das Prinzip 1.1
eins punkt eins ist eine abwanderung (vereinfachung) von der 5.1 oder sogar 7.1 standards in home-cinema-equipment. Die idee das ein einfacheren modul eine weit erweiterbare klangliche welt erobern kann kam, im Jahr 2005 zu unsere sprache hinzu. Nicht die HIGH-TECH – HIGH-END – HIFI standard intersiert uns, sondern die LOW-TECH, HOME-MADE, EIGENBAU ist die Kraft der Musik in unserem sinne. der Mensch und seine “kleine” entdeckung, machen die grosse schritte! Mit eine fixe station und ein mobiles instrument kommen wir an das publikum heran. Kein geschlossenen blackbox mit eine unmenge von knöpfe die die Tonerzeugung verhühlen sondern ein einfachen alltagsgegenstand mit eine klangliche dramaturgie vorsehen der für jeden zuschauer einschaubar und einleuchtend ist!

Wir benutzen das Recycling und die Verfremdung von diesen Objektenum Klängen für neue zusammenhänge zu erörtern.
10 Tage lang fleissig und flüssig auf entdeckung in die Klangwelten von heute stossen.
und jeden Abend das ergebniss zeigen in einem Konzert das jedem mitnimmt durch seine offensichtlichen Spassfaktor.

Interaktion:
Jeder der unser Labor morgens mittags oder abends besucht kriegt etwas mit.
Er kann selber mitbauen, eine eigene idee mit unsere hilfe entwickeln oder eine ganz eigenes
labor in unser labor aufbauen. Wer kommt heute zu besuch und was bringt er/sie an ideeen und erfahrung mit? das ist auch eine offene herausforderung die wir in einem 10 tägigen prozess angehen.

Warum die Waldengallerie:
Als wir die Ralf Schreiber Ausstellung sahen, und die transmitterworkshop sahen, kamen wir auf die
idee, die waldengallerie für unseren ansatz zu interessieren. Wir bauen nicht nur sender oder solarsoundmoduls, sondern in prinzip alles ohne grenzen innerhalb die kürzeste zeit. Ein prototyp von ein tennisschläger soundinstrument ist spielerisch, klingt neu und gut, und ist leicht und schnell gebaut! Das geht wunderbar wenn man in der Kastanienallee einige interesierte an der klangkunst mit
Klänge herein verführt!

Kaspar Konig (NL)

With the sound of the use of daily objects, Kaspar Konig tweaks, bends and changes the daily (auditive) habits. He uses the recorded results in performances, concerts and contemporary dance music. For instance, he’ll play the electric razor that turned into a sound shaver which effects the feedback or will play one of his modified soundbicycles.
In the circuit bending workshop he inspires participants to open the box of the machines, mainly to discover the enormous world of the shielded short-circuit. The objects have the tendency to become alive and the he prefers to leave them that way!
His performances take place in Berlin, Zürich, Barcelona, Maastricht and Athens where he
composed for several danceperformances and theater pieces in small and independent
theaters, galleries and concertspaces.

Shenggy

Beijing’s Shenggy is one of the new generation of avant-garde representatives in China and also the first and only female harsh noise player from the country. She has also set up her self-titled label for the female noise and avant-garde ladies in the world.

biography

She started her music career in 1998 as a drummer when she was 16 years old, but after a revelatory, watershed year in 2003, her work began to demonstrate increasingly noticeable avant-garde / noise tendencies. Suddenly the drum kit was no longer enough: static and silence hypnotised her heart and she has never looked back.
Her father works for the Chinese government’s space programme so she grew up in the middle of Beijing’s astronomic and scientific community; as such she was inflienced by dreams of the cosmos since she was a young girl with an ambition to become the first woman on the moon; that dream still stands, but now she wants not only to land on the moon, but to play her music there too.
In February 2006 she formed a new unit, White, with Xiao Wang of Carsick Cars, with the aim of developing a form of cosmic industrialism and noise that makes reference to everything from the phase patterns of Steve Reich, Einsturzende Neubauten, Throbbing Gristle, Japanese noise artists, John Cage and the gu zheng masters of Chinese classical music.
This year has seen, too, successful collaborations with visiting New York avant-garde legend Elliott Sharp, Branca collaborator John Myers, electronic pioneer Alvin Curran, and Einsturzende Neubauten’s leader Blixa Bargeld.
She is also currently working on a solo performance art project that is focused on creating sonic universes with only her voice, Korg MS-20 synth, tape recorder, and a handful of samples.

philosophy

Sun Ra once said that a musician’s soul should be lit by happiness and freedom. This is the spirit I hope radiates from my work. Freedom independence from all things is very important to me. It takes a really strong person to be independent, and I see this as necessary for creating meaningful art. It works the other way, too, in that the process of creation is liberating in itself.
I see independence as a kind of ability to control and examine yourself without flinching. What people think of me and what I do is not important.
It all about self-realisation, which itself is a kind of endurance test. To me, achieving something in this way is far more satisfying than to have woken up one day with a magical talent. True enlightenment is hard work. It requires bravery and determination, but the ultimate reward is to be discarded by the world, left in peace to float freely along your own path.
My work is the product of this continuing struggle. It is the sound of my journey towards the lonely bliss of the cosmos.

“Waiting in the wings” is een poging om een onophoudende en levendige tentoonstelling
te maken die de horizon verlegt voor zowel bezoekers als ook voor de deelnemende kun-
stenaars. In de ruimte van de Artspace Rondeel zijn de juiste omstandigheden voor han-
den. Sterker nog, de hal lijkt wel gemaakt voor performative doeleinden, zoals
uiteenlopend van sing&songwriter tot Circus-sight-show.

<> is een begaanbare en bespeelbare installatie, bestaande uit de
requisieten, de decor-elementen en de Performers. De bezoekers bewegen zich door een
levend labyrint waarin beelden met verhalen lokken, indien een schilderij tot coulisse
dient en Performers zelf schilderijen worden. Gaande weg zien we op de hoofdbühne een
samenkomst van het verhaal van iedere performer. Andere performances en documen-
taties van de makers behoren net zo goed tot een deel van dit performance park.
De werkwijze van de kunstenaars wordt zo meer in het perspektief zichbaar.
Want “Waiting in the wings” betekent figuurlijk wachten op je optreden. In dit perfor-
mancepark wordt de toestand gespiegelt met het optreden zelf, helemaal niet performen
en alle vormen tussen bühne, kleedkamer en tribune in. Zo kan het publiek van achteren
verrast worden indien het zelf opeens zijn rol moet spelen. Door het om aandacht vragen
en de aandacht verliezen van de performers, wordt het wachten op je optreden over-
brugd.
Het “waiting in de wings – performancepark” is geinspireerd op het stuk <>
van Christoph Schlingensief. Zoals in Kaprow city groeien de verschillende gedeeltes van
het stuk tot een los en toch samenhangende begaanbare konstruktie die door poetisch
gecomponeerde scenes als ook door konfrontatieve improvisaties wordt samenge-
houden. De verschillende speellocaties lijken elkaar te beconcureren, ruimtelijk en inter-
mensenlijk, waardoor je moet kiezen in het verdelen van je aandacht en kies je voor je
eigen versie ervan.
Niemand beleefd meer hetzelfde in dit theaterstuk- een van de kernzinnen van

De kijker mag en kan zelf de regie over zijn beelden voeren. Een duidelijke grens tussen
chaos en diversiteit is er niet meer. alle deelnemers kunnen met hun eigen voorstelling
de gehele installatie beinvloeden, soms ten gunste van hun eigen standpunt soms ten
gunste van de hoofdbu?hne, en het grotere geheel. Zoals de hoofdbu?hne zelf ook soms
een misleidend en vermeend hoogtepunt biedt en waardoor andere performer ingrepen
moeten doen. In Performancepark <> wacht niemand meer op zijn
optreden, er wordt constant ingezet.

Zoals in “deep trash on the spot” worden ook nu weer hoofdzakelijk materialen die reeds
voor de afvalberg bestemd zijn, nog een keer gebruikt ter opbouw en ter inspiratie. De
meegebrachte objecten en performanceideëen worden in de hal geplaatst om gedurende
2 weken tot het theatrale performancepark samengebouwd te worden. Op de hoofd-
bu?hne kunnen performances worden voorbereid en geoefent. De hal is vanaf 1 septem-
ber voor de kunstenaars geopend. Gedurende die periode wordt de choreografie voor het
hoofdprogramma met de deelnemers gemaakt. Het hoofdprogramma is los gekoppelt
van de openingstijd van de installatie. De grens tussen installatie en programma is
vloeiend. De installatie is dan ook de gehele tijd te bezichtigen en tussen 21.00u en
23.00u vindt er de “hoofd-”performance plaats.

Every year in august, Simon Berz organizes a special event for the children of the “schlagzeugatelier”. This year was extra special. All participants took a very important role to imagine, fantasize, conduct, prepare and play a 50 minutes show in which we could manifest the moments and experiences pandora must have had when she opened the box she was not ment to open! KLANGOPER mit Abfallcontainern
Die Musiker und Künstler von >KOMBINAT< erarbeiten zusammen mit einer Gruppe Jugendlicher während einer Woche eine “KlangOper” zur Geschichte der Pandoras Büchse aus der griechischen Mythologie. Als Bühnenbild dienen sechs V-ZUG Abfallcontainer, mit welchen die Geschichte klanglich und visuell umgesetzt wird.

Dear friends

News from the Rondeel >> this is an invitation for MAKERS!
We are planing a performance & exhibition in september with the title Waiting
in the Wings (means the moments before you perform) .
It will take place in Maastricht from the 15th to the 17th of september.

The exhibition will have three parts:

The performance park an Installation build up from the settings and
scenes. Visitors can go inside the Installation performance acts will
happen inside and bring it to live. The experience of the visitors will
bet he main aim. we will start to build it up the Installation around
the 1st of september.

there will be a main show every evening open to concerts sight shows
sing & songwriters and so on.

Beside that there will be exhibition space for artworks and
(video)documentations of the artists that are involved.

Please send me your ideas as soon as possible so i can place them into
the dossier.

With that we will try to get some foundings that i can pay the travel
costs and hopefully a symbolic fee.

This is a late entry, but a valuable one.
A beautiful concert took place in the lichtblick kino in the kastanienallee,
organized by salonbruit. Due to the workshop I was giving, i invited 2 participants to
play with me in this nice cinema, which is open for concerts on fridays. see the movie
Michal Dudek (a master student at the UdK) and Klaas Hübner (anyway a master but then studying at the KHB) were the best company for the stage. Listen to it under the sound tab or play this video to get an impression! THANKS ESPECIALLY to MAJA GEHRIG who made some amazing, live overhead projections!

shopping beats to bring the beats to the shoppingmal as a reflection.
A reflection on the consumptive eager to seduce young children in a certain consume behaviour.
